The most important factor of website hosting is reliability: if your website is down, your visitors can’t find you, contact you or buy from you. Downtime equates to lost opportunities.
Our Webmaster system admins keep all of our servers running at peak performance. We also use industry best practices, house our servers in the most well-managed data centres and ensure that all systems always have the latest security patches.
This is why we are able to commit to your website being available for at least 99.9% of the time.
Obviously we cannot take responsibility for things beyond our control such as:
- Network conditions across the internet (outside of our network), such as between your ISP and our data centre
- DDoS or other attacks on our servers
- Problems with your ISP network
- Browser or DNS caching issues
Occasionally, we take servers and related hardware offline for routine maintenance and upgrades. This is essential to ensure that our entire network remains secure and can perform at optimal capacity. But we always do our best to keep any such incidents to a minimum and, where possible, will notify you of any scheduled maintenance. (These scheduled service outages do not count towards our the uptime commitment).
Our 99.9% commitment is applicable for any unscheduled downtime of your website for more than 0.1% of the total time per month. Should this ever occur, we will provide a service credit in the amount of 2% of paid fee for the month, for every hour that your website is unreachable due to an internal network or equipment failure.
Downtime must be confirmed by one of our Webmasters. Maximum service credit given will be for the full amount paid for the month of outage excluding any paid fees for additional services.
